Day 66So this was yesterday, Sunday September 3rd. Labor Day weekend has rolled around and we were just looking for something to kill time. Traffic was busy and the stores were packed. We are spending the weekend out in Forks, WA. It's a small town and there isn't much around. The closest McDonalds was 57 miles away. That should give you an idea of what our surroundings looked like. We packed up all of our crap and headed out to Rialto Beach. This place was PACKED. It was difficult to find parking for most people, but not us. Luckily for this traveling duo we brought a vehicle that I don't give two shits about. The sign on the side of the road read "All tires must be off pavement". It did not say what was acceptable to make that happen. So Shirley was locked into 4wd and drove into the blackberry bushes. She received some new pinstripes from the thorns. Gotta love driving a beater. So that was it. Our whole day yesterday was drive to the beach, sit, drive home from said beach. It was cold and windy. The waves were nonstop and we got to see people get wet feet from surprising waves. That ended up being the best thing to do all day. Watch dumb people get wet. At one point this dog took a dump in front of us on the beach. Captain poopbag bent over to pick it up right as a wave rolled in and covered his tennis shoes up to his ankles in ocean water. Absolutely hilarious.
