This post is late. Like, really late. We've been in Arizona for over two weeks and I haven't provided any updates. My explanation for this is simple. I've been lazy. This blog is so much different than the previous two times we were out. Before it was a mission of mine to keep our friends and family up to the date on our travels and adventure. Now this is just a thing to write because I still own the site. Since coming into the state we have visited Tombstone and then parked in Phoenix. Welcome to our little piece of pavement for the month.
$730 a month gives us a place to park and call home until December 26th. Eli is in full approval of the sunshine and is glad to be out of the cold. Let me be clear with this in case any prospective employers actually looked up my website. We are coming home after Christmas. If you had time to kill while looking for work wouldn't you do it where the temps are 70 degrees during the day? I'm sure you would. In the meantime lets go do some go-kart racing with Grandpa Bruce.
With Katie's immediate family in town for turkey day we hit the streets and soak up some downtown Phoenix. A little piece of that was some electric go-kart racing. These little things were surprisingly fast and a hoot to drive. Tack on a couple more stops through town and we got ourselves a full day.
Fast forward to the rest of the two week gap and immerse yourself into our lives right now. Katie is studying up for entering the army reserves and I spend most of my time getting prepped to re-enter the worforce. Right now that entails studying up on the newest GFSI code for food manufacturing and reading through a lean book called "The Toyota Way". Sprinkle in a few applications and there almost isn't time to go hiking, ride the motorcycle, or use the hot tub. Almost.
