Today
International Falls, MNSo we ended up sleeping at a public boat launch parking lot last night after all the excitement. My pants stayed clean and we parked along the boat trailers. Crane Lake was the beautiful body of water that glistened in the morning. Let's face it, there ain't much up here in northern minnesota. Trees, rocks, water. That's it. No cell phone signal and no stores larger than our old house. Look past that and you will see a gorgeous landscape that rolls on endlessly. Spindly little spruce and white birch trees abound. This morning we left Crane lake and drove through international falls mn on our way to rainy lake welcome center. We pulled into another cramped parking lot and squeezed next to the boat trailers again to park. We had the only RV or camper in the whole place. What to do... what to do... oh, walk the 80lb dog for 3 miles. Yep, sounds like a plan. Dog walked and did his thing. Time to lock him into Roo for a while and let us have our own fun. We pulled Shirley around and dropped the kayaks off into the boundary waters. Time to explore some new area. That's all for today folks. Headed west to North Dakota tomorrow. Will update more as the signal becomes available. Peace out.
